An optical fiber adapter is used to mate two connectors together, usually mounted in a distribution panel or wall box. In most cases it is the critical part of the system that aligns the ferrule part of the connectors keeping the fibers in perfect alignment.
The FC connector and adapter set are mainly used for single mode applications were precision is required. With its simple to use locking thread mechanism preventing accidental disconnection, this provides a very secure connection.
Thread and integration structure with reliable connecter;
Square and round flange;
Split zirconia (ceramic) ferrule is adopted.
LC Type Adapter:
The LC connector and adapter set the standard for small optical fiber interconnects. LC small-form-factor adapters are available as duplex, enabling two connectors to be used in the same footprint.
Small size, large capacity;
Bayonet structure, convenient for installation.
SC Type Adapter:
The SC connector and adapter are the most used set for modern day optical fiber systems. With the audible click locking mechanism and pull proof design this connector provides a secure interconnect.
Push-and-pull structure, convenient for operation;
Split zirconia (ceramic) ferrule is adopted.
ST Type Adapter:
The ST connector and adapter set the standard for optical fiber interconnects. Bayonet locking mechanism can prevent accidental disconnection. With the precision housing this adapter gives the very best of performance.
Rotary bayonet structure, convenient for operation;
Phosphor bronze and split zirconia (ceramic) ferrules can be selected.
MU Type Adapter:
MU adapters and connectors deliver superior performance and high repeatability in a small form factor.
High density package;
Small size and light weight;
Plug-in-and-out connection, easy for operation.
MTRJ Type Adapter:
The MTRJ connector and adapter use a different alignment mechanism to the traditional ceramic ferule connectors. The alignment is performed through guide pins which are attached to the optical fiber connector. The MTRJ adapter is used to hold the guide pins in place and offer coarse alignment. The adapter offers a secure connection to hold the connectors in place to prevent accidental disconnection.
